My Name is Mark and I was born in Llanelli south Wales in
1962 When I was 4 I moved to Staffordshire and lived there until
February 2004 when through work a followed up on a contract I had and
came over to work at Wyeth in Dublin. I came over with the love of my
life, my Fiancée Karen, we haven't been together that long but we are
devoted to each other. Karen was born in Scunthorpe (North Lincolnshire)
in1971. We actually met on the same contract and when I came over to
Ireland Karen came with me and even found work at the same place. Although it seemed very different we both fell in love with Ireland, In a way it was a new start for both of us and we soon started to find our way around and fit in to Irish life. Because we were both tied up in work, to start with we didn't get much time to explore Ireland, although we are trying to make up for that now. We started off living in a Hotel which at the time was convenient but soon lost its novelty and we decided to rent a house on a busy estate close to work. Although even more convenient for work it was quite a noisy estate and a bit of a concrete jungle. It was probably OK for City people but as we are both from the countryside it wasn't really our cup of tea. So we moved again and found a large modern apartment on a new quite estate and made that our home. Because we we liked it over here so much we then started to look at the idea of moving here. We have tried to add other experiences in the relevant sections of Moving To Ireland, for example our experience with removal companies will come under removals. |
